Bench Mark Data

The Bench Marks illustrated on the State of Hawaii’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps are referenced by the National Geodetic Survey’s (NGS) Permanent IDentifier (PID).

The NGS maintains bench mark information on a Datasheet. A Datasheet is sometimes referred to as DSDATA. It is an ASCII text file, which contains data for a survey control station. See file dsdata.txt for detailed information about the datasheet.

NGS Check Publication Status - For a given PID, this utility will determine if the station is publishable (i.e., datasheet is available). If the station is not publishable, the reason will be displayed.
